You’re always lucky in Siesta Key: from now until January 1st, Guys and Dolls is playing at the Asolo Repertory Theatre! With actors that have been in Broadway shows, national tours, and even a few Florida natives, the Asolo does a wonderful production of the classic musical. Why not celebrate the holidays by hopping back into the 50’s?

If singing gamblers don’t do it for you, check out Florida Studio Theatre’s production of Million Dollar Quartet instead! The Tony-award winning musical features the story of Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley coming together in their famous recording session.

Fan of something with less singing? There are two performances of the Moscow Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker on the 29th. The Van Wezel offers both a matinee and an evening show.

If you’re looking for something a little more traditional to get into the Christmas spirit, you can see A Christmas Carol this Wednesday the 21st, also at the Van Wezel. Even though the story has gone from paper to screen to the stage, it hasn’t lost its festive and joyous mood!

All of these theaters are less than half an hour away from the Gulf and Bay Club – and there’s nothing like a night at the theater with your family beside you. Happy holidays!
