Here are some event tips for the last week of November.

Wednesday November 29 – Painting in the Full Color Method with Julie Hanson

This class combines intermediate painters and advanced painters into one class. Mediums in order of preference are oil, water-soluble oil, and acrylic. Although watercolor is not the best medium for this approach, you can very easily apply this new knowledge to your watercolor painting. We will work from photographs in the studio. Julie will walk students through each image (with a new one chosen each week) in her step by step proven method as seen in her recent book, Fire & Light. Students are welcome paint the image that Julie is painting or paint what they would like. Wednesdays, 9:00am – 12:30pm (no class Nov 22) / Pre-requisites / FEE $215 member / $245 non-member.

Friday December 1 – Blessings from the Unconscious Lecture

In Jungian Analysis, much emphasis is given to how one approaches the unconscious as a means of healing, transformation and spiritual enhancement. In an analysis one comes face-to-face with the complex and archetypal content, which can be powerful and illuminating, and bring numinous blessings, but can also be destructive and overwhelming. This lecture will explore the process of analysis and the approach to the complex and archetypal content of the unconscious through the process of Association, Amplification, Active Imagination and Application.
